The Golf & Tennis Academy was developed by lifelong enthusiasts for golf and tennis, Juan Arteaga Jr. and Marisa Farrell. It was founded to change the way young athletes think about golf and tennis camps. GTA’s goal is to provide an alternative to the typical sports camp by offering a more well-rounded camp experience with many activities outside the instructional aspect.
Located at the beautiful Casa de Campo resort in the Southeast coast of the Dominican Republic and is known throughout the world for its elite sporting atmosphere.
Golf Camp Includes:
- Instruction via the Jim Mclean Golf School
- 5 Students per instructor

- Where is Golf & Tennis Academy?
- GTA is located at Casa de Campo Resort – one of the most prestigious resorts in the Caribbean. - How do I get to GTA?
- Direct flights to the Dominican Republic’s La Romana International Airport (LRM) will deliver you and your camper just five minutes from GTA’s main check in and reception at the Casa de Campo Resort. Direct flights on American Airlines and Jet Blue leave several times a week from such major cities such as: New York, Miami, Chicago, Atlanta, Boston, and the like. Connecting flights from other cities are also available.
- How does GTA determine room assignments and roommates?
- GTA’s camp policy is to house campers of the same gender/age at two per room. During the enrollment process, GTA will provide parents/guardians with a roommate request form. Our personal guarantee is that we will try to honor specific roommate requests.
- Who are the GTA counselors?
- GTA counselors have been selected by Casa de Campo and have worked with the resorts kids programs. There will be 1 counselor for every 10 campers and they will be staying in the same hotel facilities that GTA has been allocated.
- What kinds of dining options does GTA offer?
- Unlike any other camp of its kind, only GTA offers the culinary offerings of over a dozen on-site resort restaurants, with cuisine from all over the world. From pasta and salads to sandwiches and steaks to fresh grilled seafood and tropical fruits. Camp tuition includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, as well as access to snack and drinks throughout the day. Most excitingly, kids have the opportunity to encounter fine dining in a memorable way. Because they’re surrounded by their peers, trying new foods becomes an exciting adventure shared by new friends.
