If you are getting a bad cut on one of you mowers, the most common problem is a faulty reel or deck motor.
A quick test is to locate the reel giving the bad cut
Lower all reels to mow position
Block reel with wood to prevent it from turning, causing it to go into relief mode (fig 1)
Have someone in the seat
Remove small relief hose, cap hose end (fig2 & 3)
Start machine
Engage reels
Go to full throttle
If you get a ¼ cup of oil or less out of the motor in 5-10 seconds the motor is good, if you get ¼ cup or more rebuild or replace the motor. (FIG 4)
CAUTION A BAD MOTOR CAN CAUSE A HIGH FLOW OF PRESSURISED OIL, WEAR SAFTY GLASSES AND DO NOT LEAN OVER THE REEL
