In the past we have enjoyed rather fast lead-times, 6-8 weeks, from EZGO/Cushman on their vehicles. Unfortunately, this has changed dramatically due to supply chain issues caused by the pandemic. There are hundreds of parts that come from all over the world to assemble these vehicles and the companies making these parts are having issues getting raw materials. Plastic being one of the most current materials to affect production time because the raw material to make plastic is a by-product from the oil and gas industry. When the pandemic hit and people stopped driving the oil industry slowed production abruptly and the raw materials needed for plastic ceased to exist. This is just one example of what is happening with the supply chain worldwide. Aluminum, copper, electronic chips, etc., all of which are used on these vehicles, have also been difficult to get because of this.

Rest assured EZGO/Cushman and Tropicars are doing everything possible to speed up production times to fulfill orders as soon as possible. At this time, we are experiencing 6–7-month lead-times to get cars built so I ask for you to be patient and to plan ahead if there are specific dates you must have cars available.

We feel confident that the build times will get back to normal once the supply of raw materials fills up and flows on a consistent basis. We thank you for your support as we work through this unprecedented worldwide supply issue.
